For three days every summer for the last 20ish years Geneva has hosted the Fete de Musique, with over 500 concerts each year.
They have large music halls and grand stages, but even better in my mind is wandering around the streets and suddenly coming upon a group of musicians on the corner. The styles range widely, with a healthy dose of techno/EDM throughout the more traditional sounds, "world" music, and contemporary tunes.
We also ventured to the Flux Lab for a bit of theatre. This group of dancers performed a strong abstract piece on violence against women. The standing room only crowd certainly appreciated it. While all in french, their movements were powerful enough that I certainly understood the sentiment, if not the phrasing.
